California Community Colleges LGBTQ+ Summit April 15-16, 2025

We Are the Ones We Have Been Waiting For:
The LGBTQ+ CCC Revolution

Join us for the 7th Annual California Community Colleges (CCC) LGBTQ+ Summit, held virtually on Tuesday, April 15 - Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM. This year’s theme, “We are the ones we have been waiting for: The LGBTQ+ CCC Revolution,” emphasizes the collective commitment to creating thriving, supportive environments for LGBTQ+ students. 

This free summit offers an opportunity for students, faculty, classified professionals, administrators and community members to come together to learn, share innovative ideas and develop strategies to improve campus programs and student support services. Through dynamic trainings, inspiring speakers and student testimonials, we’ll explore how to transform our institutions and make lasting structural changes to better serve LGBTQ+ students across CCC campuses.

Black Student Success Week Lift Up, Level Up: The Rise of Black Serving Institutions April 21-25, 2025

The 2025 Black Student Success Week will emphasize how we are serving underserved students, including but not limited to Black and African American students, to support and ensure their success in community colleges and beyond.

#TheBlackHour 12-1pm PT

Throughout the week, #TheBlackHour webinars will share insights and approaches for improving student success among underserved students, including but not limited to Black and African American students, in community colleges. These daily webinars are open to community college administrators, staff, faculty, practitioners, and students.

#TheAfterParty 1-2pm PT

Join us for daily small group discussion forums immediately following #TheBlackHour webinars. These facilitated discussion forums will provide an opportunity for participants to debrief and reflect on topics and themes highlighted during #TheBlackHour.

#TheStudentHour6-7pm PT

This student-centered series focuses on the needs and resources available to help current and prospective college students succeed. Working with the California Community College Chancellor’s Office “I Can Go To College” campaign, #TheStudentHour webinars occur Monday through Friday from 6 to 7 pm.
